Bantam and Midget Travel
New for the 2023/2024 season, the Wilmette Jr. Trevians and the Winnetka Warriors are partnering to offer a combined program for Bantams and U16 pilot program. The pilot program offers travel hockey opportunities for Bantam and U16 aged players who want to make a serious commitment to the game of hockey. These teams get more ice time and travel to other rinks to participate in appropriately balanced competition. We will field multiple travel teams at the Bantam age group, which compete in the Northern Illinois Hockey League (NIHL) and the Central States Development Hockey League (CSDHL). We will have a U16 Prospects team which will participate in CSDHL.
Ages
Bantam and U16 players will play for the combined Wilmette/Winnetka Bantam & Midget Pilot Program for the 2023-2024 season.
Bantams: 2009/2010 Birth Years
U16: 2007/2008 Birth Years
When
Conditioning clinics and tryouts will begin August 19th, with team practices starting September 5th. The season will run through the end of February / early March.
Where
Teams will practice and play home games at NSIA and the Winnetka and Wilmette ice rinks.
Practices
Bantam teams will have 3 on-ice practices per week and 1 off-ice practice per week.
U16 Prospects will have 2 on-ice practices per week and 2 off-ice practices per week.
Jerseys
All players will receive a uniform package which includes the following:
- Home and Away Game Jerseys
- Home and Away Game Socks
- Reversible Practice Jersey
- Practice Socks
For the 2023/2024 Regular Season, the uniform package is included in the season registration fee.
Extra Costs
Each team manager maintains a team fund to cover tournament expenses for the team, coach and any other additional expenses the team manager/coach may anticipate. At the start of the season, each family will be asked for a deposit to get that account started. The amount varies by team, but is typically $400-$700.

Preseason/Tryout Fee for Bantams: $400
Tryout Fee for Midgets: $200
Bantam Season Fee for Skaters (NIHL): $5,700
Bantam Season Fee for Goalies (NIHL): $4,700
Bantam Season Fee for Skaters (CS Prospects): $6,600
Bantam Season Fee for Goalies (CS Prospects): $5,600
Midget Season Fee for Skaters (CS Prospects): $6,800
Bantam Season Fee for Goalies (CS Prospects): $5,800
Season fees will be paid when your player is rostered after team selections are made at the conclusion of tryouts. Payment plans for season fees are available and can be selected when you receive your roster spot offer after tryouts conclude.
